Katherine Rinehart will discuss her experience processing the late John C. Schubert’s collection for the Sonoma State University Library as part of the Russian River Historical Society’s annual meeting. The collection consists of photographs, maps, postcards, scrapbooks, business records, family genealogies, and ephemera that relate to the history of Sonoma County’s Russian River area resorts, social and civic organizations, festivals, cemeteries, railroads, bridges, schools, mining, and logging operations. These unique materials, which span from the 1850s thru the 2000s, were gifted to the Sonoma State University Library by Mr. Schubert in 2021 and are now available to researchers by appointment.
This is a free event. Need not be a member of the Russian River Historical Society to attend.
